Southwest General knows that caring for your family while you work can be a challenge. Whether it’s keeping the kids on track with distance learning, ensuring someone is watching the kids while you’re at work, after-school care, or the responsibility for aging parents, sometimes you need additional support. Life is unpredictable, so to help alleviate some these unexpected challenges, Southwest is providing you with family care benefits which will include Premium Care.com memberships, Backup Care for children and adults, On-Demand Tutoring, and access to LifeMart, a members only discount program.

Southwest General Health Center will be offering the following benefits:
- Care.com Membership: Premium, unlimited access to Care.com to find caregivers, tutors, errand runners, senior caregivers, pet walkers and sitters, housecleaners, and more.
- Backup Care for Children: Access to in-home or in-center vetted and subsidized care for your children when your regular care is not available. Use your Backup Care days for school or day care closures, last-minute sitter cancellations, someone to help with distance learning, and more.
- Backup Care for Adults: Backup Care for adults is provided for rides to doctor appointments, help recovering from surgery, meal prep, care for when regular adult care isn’t available, and more. Whether you need an extra hand or you have a parent across the country who could use extra support, we can help.
- You have 5 Backup Care days/year to use for either child or adult Backup Care.
- Backup Care co-pays are as follows:
- $3/hour for in-home child care or adult care
- $5/day for in-center child care
- Personal Network Backup Care: When your regular care isn’t available, you may prefer to use one of your go-to sitters or centers. With Personal Network Backup Care, you can have a family member, neighbor, friend, or regular sitter watch your child(ren) and get reimbursed for a portion of the cost.
- On-Demand Tutoring: offers 24/7 access to thousands of professional tutors for grades K-12 through college – whether that’s helping your children with their homework, preparing high schoolers for college admission tests, or supporting you through continued education.
- LifeMart Discounts: A members only discount shopping website that provides discounts on nationally recognized brand-name products and services and local retailers.
